Ashtanga Yoga Workshop
The first series of ashtanga yoga
Service Description
The first series of Ashtanga Yoga, known as Yoga Chikitsa, translates from Sanskrit as “Yoga Therapy.” This is the foundation on which the entire practice is built and is designed to prepare the body and mind for the higher stages of spiritual evolution. What does this series help with? Yoga Chikitsa acts as an intense process of physical and energetic purification. By combining postures (Asana) with controlled breathing (Ujjayi), a powerful internal heat is generated that: Detoxifies: Eliminates toxins accumulated in the internal organs and muscles. Aligns: Corrects posture and realigns the spine. Strengthens: Develops physical endurance, flexibility and a robust immune system. The main goal of the First Series is not just the execution of complex postures, but mastery of the mind through discipline. Yoga Chikitsa aims to cleanse the “channels” of the body (Nadis), allowing vital energy to circulate freely. The result is a healthy, light body and a calm mind, ready for introspection and emotional stability. Pillars of Practice (Tristhana) In this workshop, we will focus on the three points of attention that make Ashtanga a “moving meditation”: Breathing (Pranayama): Synchronizing movement with breath. Posture (Asana): Correct alignment and activation of power centers (Bandhas). Gaze (Drishti): Focusing the eyes to quiet the inner dialogue.
