About the event
Andreea Miron will facilitate a session of pranayama (breathing) and sacred sounds to prepare us spiritually for the last 3 months of the year. Here is a meaning of the full moon in September.
The September full moon is often referred to as the Harvest Moon , and it has special significance in many cultures and traditions. Typically, this full moon occurs close to the autumnal equinox, marking the end of summer and the beginning of fall. This year, it may have both astronomical and spiritual significance.
The main significance of the September Harvest Moon:
A time of harvest and abundance: In agricultural traditions, the Harvest Moon signifies the time when crops were ready for harvest and communities celebrated the abundance of the land. In a symbolic sense, this time is seen as a time of personal harvest , when we can reap the fruits of our labor and efforts from the previous months.
Reflection and Release: As with any full moon, the energy of this period is strong and suitable for reflection and release . The full moon is a time when we can analyze what we have achieved, what we have learned, and what we need to let go of in order to move forward, preparing for new beginnings.
Balance and Harmony: Being close to the autumnal equinox (which is the time of perfect balance between day and night), the Harvest Moon emphasizes the need for balance between aspects of our lives. It is a time to balance our emotions, energy, and intentions for the rest of the year.
Connecting with nature and the cycles of life: This full moon invites us to reconnect with the natural rhythms of life and align our personal energies with those of the earth. It reminds us of the cyclical nature of life, of phases of growth and decline, and the importance of accepting each stage.
Transformation and preparation for change: For many, September brings a transition – from summer to fall, from intense activity to a calmer and more introspective time. It is a time of preparation for change , both internally and externally, when we can adjust our intentions to adapt to the new season.
This September full moon can be seen as a time of abundance, release, and recalibration in preparation for the final months of the year, providing a perfect opportunity for sound healing and breathing sessions to facilitate this transition and balancing.
