Our friends from Loop Yoga will be joining us. You will be able to practice 108 sun salutations on one of the mats they have provided.

Why 108 Sun Salutations:
Practicing 108 Sun Salutations at the end of the year is a tradition in yoga that has several meanings and benefits:

In yoga and Hinduism, there are 108 Upanishads (philosophical texts), 108 sacred places for Shiva (one of the main gods), and 108 energy points in the body. Also, in astronomy, the distance between the Earth and the Sun is approximately 108 times the diameter of the Sun.
Purification and Transformation : By repeating this sequence, it is believed to purify the mind and body. It is a way to release old energy and welcome new energy, a symbol of the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.
